Natalie Pieters Commits to Franklin College for Swimming Chesterton, IN — Chesterton High School is proud to announce that senior Natalie Pieters has committed to continue her academic and athletic career at Franklin College, where she will compete as a member of the swimming program. Pieters, a leader on the Chesterton Girls Swim & Dive team, has excelled both in the pool and in the classroom throughout her high school career. She plans to pursue a degree in biochemistry (pre-veterinary track) while competing at the collegiate level. During her time at Chesterton, Pieters has been actively involved in numerous school and community activities. She is a member of the Duneland Swim Club, participates in St. Pat’s Youth Group, and has served as a lifeguard at Indiana Dunes. She has also gained valuable experience as an intern at Coyne Veterinary Clinic. A multi-sport athlete, Pieters has contributed to both the soccer and swimming programs, serving as a team captain for the swim team and competing as a goalkeeper in soccer. She has also demonstrated strong leadership as an FCA leader and has been involved in Marine Biology Club and National Honor Society. Pieters has earned numerous academic and athletic honors, including Scholar Athlete recognition, AP Scholar with Distinction, Ben Franklin Scholar, Principal’s Honor Roll, and Academic All-State honors in soccer. Academically, Pieters has maintained an outstanding 4.18 GPA, reflecting her commitment to excellence in the classroom. At Franklin College, she will compete under the guidance of Head Coach Zach Rayce and join a program known for its strong culture and competitive success. Natalie’s leadership, versatility, and dedication make her an outstanding representative of Chesterton High School. The school community is incredibly proud of her accomplishments and excited to see her continue to grow and succeed at the next level.
