Chesterton delivered a dominant 116 to 16 win over Valparaiso in a dual meet, highlighted by an absolutely incredible performance from Nathan Vaughan. Vaughan won the 100 in 10.55 and the 300 hurdles in 37.99, and added another win in the long jump with a mark of 24 feet 3 inches. In the process, he broke three school records, setting a new mark in the long jump and breaking a 33 year old record previously held by Jeff Bakaitis, along with records in the 100 held by Braden Corzan and the 300 hurdles held by Kieran Barnewall. Chesterton continued to control the sprints. Cal Wisniewski placed second in the 100 in 10.86, while Weston Moore finished third. Devin Throw won the 200 in 22.67, with Brayden Woods finishing third. In the 400, Louis Raffin and Ben Phillips went one two in 50.02 and 50.36, with Noah Haubold adding a third place finish. The distance group swept the top three spots in multiple events. Zarek Sierazy won the 800 in 2:04.32, with William Roberson placing second. In the 1600, Spencer Martin, Ryan Nix, and Ray Hundt finished first, second, and third in 4:27.37, 4:33.47, and 4:37.22. In the 3200, Ryan Nix, Spencer Martin, and Nick Jakel swept the top three spots. In the hurdles, Louis Raffin placed second in the 110 hurdles in 16.66, while Patrick Mochen finished third. In the 300 hurdles, Cal Wisniewski placed second in 39.35 and Patrick Mochen placed third behind Vaughan. The 4x100 relay team of Weston Moore, Devin Throw, Brayden Woods, and Jacob Moore placed first in 43.22. The 4x400 relay team of Cal Wisniewski, Ben Phillips, Nathan Vaughan, and Louis Raffin also placed first in 3:21.23. The 4x800 relay team of Zarek Sierazy, Ryan Nix, William Roberson, and Max Redman placed first in 8:41.78. In the field events, Nolan Huley won the high jump. In pole vault, Bryan Huseman and Patrick Mochen placed first and second. In the long jump, Cal Wisniewski added a second place finish behind Vaughan. In the throws, Carlos Leon won both the shot put and discus, while Tyler Nevious and Malik Oueslati completed the top three in shot put. In discus, Colin Kellogg and Raul Otero finished second and third. It was a complete performance across all events as Chesterton secured a decisive early season win.
