The Chesterton Trojans golf team defeated LaPorte (176) on Thursday night but fell to Valpo (160). The team shot a 168 on the afternoon at Forest Park. The front nine played as a par 37, and junior Jake Bobin paced the Trojans with a score of 1-over 38. Freshmen Miles Mulcahy and Zac Racette each shot a 4-over 41. Fellow freshmen Liam Henley and Massimo Popa each shot a 48. On the JV side, the team shot a 184. Freshman Dylan Duffy led the way with a 42. Seniors Drew Pacilio and Drew Barich each shot a 46, while junior Tyler Racette shot a 50. The team will be back in action on Tuesday at Creekside to play Portage and Michigan City.
