The Chesterton boys track and field team repeated as sectional champions Thursday night, scoring 207.75 points to win back-to-back IHSAA sectional titles at Portage. The Trojans finished well ahead of runner-up Portage (123), while Valparaiso placed third with 90.5 points and LaPorte was fourth with 88.5. Chesterton dominated throughout the meet with championships in the sprints, distance races, relays and field events. Head coach Bryan Nallenweg said of the team’s performance, “It was truly an all-around team effort tonight. Not only did we score points in every single event, but every athlete who competed scored points for the team. Winning back-to-back sectionals is a huge accomplishment, and these guys have worked hard to get to where we are.
