Chesterton Baseball Captures 2026 DAC Championship The Chesterton Trojans Baseball team claimed the 2026 Duneland Athletic Conference Championship, finishing atop one of the premier conferences in Northwest Indiana and continuing the program’s tradition of excellence. In addition to winning the DAC title, several Trojans were recognized with postseason conference honors for their outstanding performances throughout the spring season. Chesterton placed three student-athletes on the 2026 DAC All-Conference Team: Troy Barrett Rob Czarniecki Caden Hackett The Trojans also swept several of the conference’s top individual honors: Troy Barrett — DAC Most Valuable Pitcher Rob Czarniecki — DAC Co-Position Player of the Year Caden Hackett — DAC Utility Player Adding to an already historic season, both Barrett and Czarniecki were selected to represent the North All-Star Team at the Indiana North/South All-Star Series June 27-28 at Loeb Stadium in Lafayette. Troy Barrett — Selected to the North All-Star Team Rob Czarniecki — Selected to the North All-Star Team Under the leadership of Coach Bogner, Chesterton finished conference play in first place ahead of a highly competitive DAC field, earning the outright conference championship through consistent play, strong pitching, and timely hitting throughout the season. Best of luck to the Trojans as they battle Valparaiso Friday night in the semifinals of the IHSAA Sectionals hosted by Chesterton High School.
