Trojan Strong: An Opportunity to Serve Our Community Coaches, Sponsors, and Students, Last week, our community experienced devastating storms that impacted countless families. While we are grateful that power has now been restored to the majority of the area, many of our neighbors are still facing a tremendous amount of cleanup and rebuilding. This is where we can make a difference! As Trojans, we talk often about taking care of one another, doing the right thing, and being part of something bigger than ourselves. Right now, our community needs people who are willing to roll up their sleeves and help. I am asking our teams, coaches, sponsors, and students to consider volunteering your time to assist with cleanup efforts in the community. Whether it is helping move debris, cleaning up yards, assisting a family, or simply providing an extra set of hands, your effort can mean a great deal to someone who is going through a difficult time. Our students have an incredible opportunity to demonstrate what it means to be a Trojan, not just in the classroom, on the field, or in our activities, but in the way we serve others when our community needs us most. If you can volunteer, please consider taking a few photos while you are serving. We would love to capture and share the positive impact our students, coaches, and sponsors are making throughout the community. Sharing these moments can provide hope and encouragement to our community, reminding those still recovering that they are not alone and that their Trojan family stands with them. Please be respectful when taking photos, especially when working at someone's home or on their property. Always ask permission before taking or sharing photos of community members. The focus should be on the spirit of service and the incredible work our Trojan family is doing. Coaches and sponsors, please consider encouraging your teams and groups to look for opportunities to help over the next few days. Students, if you can volunteer, I hope you will consider doing so. Please make sure you have permission from your family and that you are volunteering in a safe and appropriate setting. The storms may have caused tremendous damage, but they cannot take away the strength, compassion, and character of our community. Let's show our community what it means to be Trojan Strong, and let's help our neighbors get back on their feet. Sincerely, Brent Martinson Principal Chesterton High School
