Rick Fulton, Class of 1980 Enters the Hall of Fame holding a 46-year-old shot put record of 60 feet, 6 inches for a runner-up finish at the state meet. And he did that in his second-best sport. He was a football player first, playing on both sides of the line for the Trojans. Played so well at the North-South All-Star game that Indiana coach Lee Corso offered him a scholarship on the field right after the game. Opted instead for Northwestern University and after a year transferred to Southwest Missouri State (now Missouri State).
