Katey Parsons, Class of 1994 Became the first runner and second athlete in Chesterton girls track and field history to win a state title in 1994 when she took the 800 meters in 2:13.04, which remains the school record. At various points in her career also set short-lived school records in the cross country 4K and the 1600 meters. A two-and-a-half year starter in basketball, including as a senior for the most recent team to win a regional championship, Parsons ran four years at Southwest Missouri State.
