This past Saturday Chesterton varsity hosted the Chesterton Invite teams included are Kokomo, Illianan Christian, Marquette, Wheeler, Boone Groove, Bishop Noll, and Hobart. Chesterton defeated Hobart (25-13, 25-8), Bishop Noll (25-17, 25-21), and Boone Groove (25-22, 25-22) in pool play. Chesterton defeated Michigan City Marquette in the Championship (25-14, 25-14). After this weekend Chesterton moves to 19-3 overall finishing up with the 1st round of conference @ Merrillville tomorrow night. This past Thursday 9/10, Chesterton Varsity defeated Michigan City in conference match-up (25-5, 25-19, 25-7). Trojans were led by Maddie Gilliam with 16 kills and 2 blocks, Luca Bombacino with 11 kills, Reese Dilbeck 27 assists, and 4 kills, Delaney Barrett 9 digs, Kristi Spencer with 6 aces and 8 digs, and Maddie Costello with 4 kills.
