The Boys travelled to Highland to run Saturday on what proved to be a beasutiful early fall day. In a first for this season the entire team ran in one race! Ryan Nix lead the way with his runner up finish to Lake Central's Lucas Neves. This rivalry will resume in a week. Also scoring for the Trojans were Spencer Martin; Aaron Pieters; Colton Beckwith; and, Nathan Fernandez. Colton ran the race of the day, inproving his lifetime best by :50! Whether it was the course, the weather, of the near end of the season, Colton joined most of the rest of the team notching fastest season times on Saturday! The team finished 3rd (82 points), losing to secand place Lake Central in the 6th runner tiebraker. Crown Point (68 points) won. We see both of these teams again in a week. Next Saturday is the Duneland Athletic Conference meet, hosted by Michigan City and held at the Purdue Northwest campus in Westville. The Trojan boys are defending conference champs. The conference meet marks the end of the regular season. Chesterton hosts the Sectional on SEptember 17th at Sunset Hill County Park.
