⚽ Girls Soccer Sectional Draw Announced The IHSAA has announced the pairings for the 2026 Girls Soccer State Tournament, and the Chesterton Trojans will host the Class 3A Sectional 2 at Chesterton High School. The five-team sectional features Chesterton, Merrillville, Valparaiso, Portage and Hobart. The Trojans will open sectional play against Merrillville, while Portage and Hobart will meet in the opening match. Valparaiso will then face the winner of Portage/Hobart. Class 3A Sectional 2 – Chesterton Match 1: Portage vs. Hobart Match 2: Merrillville vs. Chesterton Match 3: Valparaiso vs. Match 1 Winner Championship: Match 2 Winner vs. Match 3 Winner Sectional matches will be played October 5–10, with the sectional championship advancing to the regional round. Admission is $8 per session or $20 for all sessions through Eventlink. Chesterton enters the tournament as the defending Class 3A sectional champion, having won the sectional in 2025.
