Lady Trojans Finish Fourth at DAC Championship; Haring Earns All-DAC Honors

The Chesterton Lady Trojans turned in a strong performance at the Duneland Athletic Conference (DAC) Girls Cross Country Championship, finishing fourth as a team and earning All-DAC honors for junior Hannah Haring. Haring led the Lady Trojans with an impressive ninth-place finish, crossing the finish line in 19:50.37. Her top-10 performance earned her All-DAC recognition and paced a strong effort by the Chesterton lineup. Senior Natascha Lepinasse followed with a 15th-place finish in 20:26.21, while junior Natalie White placed 17th in 20:40.21. Junior Paige Clancy finished close behind in 18th place with a time of 20:43.05, giving the Lady Trojans four runners in the top 18. Freshman Aubrey Forsythe continued to gain valuable championship experience, finishing 34th in 22:24.83. Senior Eshaal Ali rounded out Chesterton’s finishers with a 35th-place performance in 22:33.69. The Lady Trojans will look to build on their conference championship performance as they turn their attention to the postseason. With a strong group of experienced runners and continued contributions throughout the lineup, Chesterton aims to carry its momentum into the next stage of the season. Senior Grace Basich followed closely in 21st place with a time of 23:08.41, while sophomore Reagan Rex placed 24th in 23:21.74. Adriana Perez added a 30th-place finish in 24:33.66, with Charlotte Ellis, Gabriella Raffin and Isabel Torres rounding out Chesterton’s finishers. The JV girls continued to demonstrate their determination and depth as they competed against the DAC field. Congratulations to all the girls on a successful regular season! The varsity squad will now prepare for the next challenge as they compete in the Chesterton Sectional on October 17, looking to carry their momentum into the postseason.
