The Trojan boys defended their sectional title from a year ago on Saturday at Sunset Hill Farm County Park . On a beautiful sunny fall day they bested a young talented Valparaio squad by 6 points. The vistory was spearheaded by 1-2 finishers seniors Ryan Nix and Spencer Martin, but it was the 20 second PR by junior Eli Fletcher (13th) that sealed the win for the team. Also scoring were Aaron Pieters (6th) and Xander Sierazy (11th). Noteworthy was the first race of the year for senior Nick Jakel. Nick suffered a running-related injury that had kept him sidelined since July! Portage (3rd); Washington Township (4th); and Hebron (5th) also qualified teams for next Saturday's New Prairie Regional.
