Trojan fans, it's meet day! Our Girls Cross Country team heads to Highland for the XC Invite this morning. Race begins at 9:00 AM CDT. Come out and support our runners as they take on the course. Highland Admin Information: 58th Annual Highland Cross-Country Invitational Meet Information Place: Highland High School Date: September 27, 2025 (Saturday) Starting Time 8:00 MS BOYS Race 8:30 MS GIRLS Race 8:00-8:30 HS Team Check-in Time (SOCCER FIELD) 9:00 HS BOYS Race 9:45 HS GIRLS Race 10:30 AWARDS NOTE: PLEASE make your athletes know that there will be MS racers on the course Beginning at 8:00 am during HS warm-ups. Please be courteous to those racers! Finish Line - Only essential workers will be allowed at the finish line. NO parents. - Water coolers will not be allowed at the finish line. Teams and individuals must provide their own water outside the finish chute on the soccer field. - Coaches should be near the finish line to get athletes cleared out as quickly as possible. Restrooms Restrooms will be available inside the football stadium. Restrooms are limited; please plan accordingly Exit All teams should have their team areas cleaned up and on their buses by 11:00 am. Buses will pick up teams at the west double baseball gates (where you entered the team camp area). Awards Awards will be presented promptly at 10:30 am. We ask teams to sit on the football field. Awards will take place on the 50-yard line. Boys’/Girls’ Varsity/JV: 1st through 3rd will receive an individual trophy 1st through 3rd place team trophies – Top 7 placers per team score as Varsity Top (boys and girls) Freshman, Sophomore, Junior will receive a trophy The Course Our course is flat and fast. Part of our course will take the runner off the campus, across 41st St. south out and back. The start begins at the north fence of our tennis courts. Pay close attention and exercise caution to the bottle-neck formed approximately 150 meters from the start. The runners enter our track and make one loop to the finish on our track. (Please see attached map.) Due to portions of the cross country course that are on the track and on concrete at the Highland Invite, 1⁄4 inch spikes are the longest spikes allowed during the races. Thank you! Course Inspection There will be race inspectors placed throughout the course. It is our philosophy that these course inspectors are there to prevent errors on the part of the participants. The inspectors will give instructions to those who appear to be straying off course. It is the responsibility of the runner to know the course. Runners who do not follow the correct course will be disqualified. Severe Weather In the case you would be asked to take shelter due to a severe weather event, please follow directions and proceed through Door P and head to the interior of the building. No unauthorized personnel will be allowed to remain inside the stadium. Thank you for your help and cooperation in keeping everyone safe. Trainer / First Aid Station Our trainer and/or first aid station is located in the blue building at the North end of the football field. Markings The course will be marked with white lines and directional flags (red-left, yellow-right, and blue-straight). The 1-mile and 2-mile marks are labelled on your maps. Mile 1 = WHITE Mile 2 = YELLOW Mile 3 = BLUE Contestant Numbers All runners will be assigned a bib number before the race. This number should be pinned to the FRONT of each runner’s jersey. Please make sure all athletes wear their bib number and know their bib number. If the bib is lost during the race it is the runner’s responsibility to report their number to the workers in the chute. NO bib = NO time! Race Results Race results will be available at: Thtiming.com. NO hard copies will be available at the meet. Concessions and Invitational T-shirts The concession stand will be open and available for those who wish to use it. T-Shirts: Fine Designs will be on site, producing customized XC t-shirts.
