Zack Wellsand, Class of 2001 The football program keeps track of offensive records in 12 different categories, game, season and career for each. Zack finished his career holding 15 of the 36 records, an outrageous number, but not as mind-blowing as this number: He averaged 41.9 yards on his 23 touchdowns during his junior season. The shortest went for 11 yards, the longest for 91. The touchdowns came by reception, rush, kickoff return and punt return. Wellsand’s record-setting ways weren’t limited to fall contests. He set the single-season field goal percentage for 3-pointers and free throws and for most 3-pointers in a game (eight). He also was a standout sprinter and long jumper for the Trojans.
