Lake Central, IN – September 20, 2025 — Chesterton High School’s Coed Cheer team kicked off our season with an impressive showing at their first competition of the year, held today at Lake Central High School. The Trojans brought home multiple awards across divisions, showcasing their hard work and skill: • 2nd Place in the 3A/4A Game Day Division, competing against eight teams in a highly competitive field. • 3rd Place in the Timeout Division, which included six teams. • 1st and 2nd Place finishes in the Stunt Group Competition. This marks a strong start for our team, highlighting both a performance in game-day style routines, time out routine, and technical ability in specialized stunt group events. We are excited to kick off our competition season and are impressed with our athletes for their dedication and commitment in preparing for this opener. With the season now underway, CHS Coed Cheer is setting the tone for continued success in future events! Stunt Group # 1 taking home first place consist of Gionna Pinkston, Mady Novak, Niko Monaco, and Olivia Papp. Stunt Group # 2 taking home second is made up of Grace Miller, Kyliann Hill, Levi Swart, and Maddie Lyons. Chesterton Coed Cheer competed with both our JV and Varsity program. The team consisted of Adriana Gorbea, Alana Hernandez, Andie Kollar, Ashlyn Dolph, Bobby Spencer, Breanne Pappas, Brendan Brady, Canon Surane, Carly Decker, Cole Gilbert, Emma Gilbert, Ella Martinez, Ethan Wood, Gaby Alvarado, Gionna Pinkston, Grace Miller, Hadynn Martinez, Julia Depew, Kathryn Jasch, Kendall Tarnow, Kyliann Hill, Levi Swart, Maddie Lyons, Mady Novak, Niko Monako, Olivia Papp Coaches: Tara Graf, Calla Dolph, Cordie Armstrong, Emma Sieman, and Grant Gilbertson.
