🏆 **Chesterton Athletics Hall of Fame – Class of 2026** 🏆 Chesterton Athletics is proud to announce the newest inductees into the **Chesterton Athletics Hall of Fame**. This class represents excellence across generations of Trojan Athletics and includes state champions, record holders, Hall of Fame athletes and coaches, collegiate standouts, and individuals whose impact continues to shape our tradition. Please join us in congratulating the **Chesterton Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2026:** 🏊 **Christy Grcevich (Class of 2005)** – State Champion swimmer, multi-sport athlete in swimming, volleyball, and track & field, Academic All-American, and one of the most accomplished female athletes in Chesterton history. 🏃 **David Osborn (Class of 2010)** – Three-time Cross Country All-State selection, New Prairie Semi-State Champion, IHSAA Mental Attitude Award recipient, NCAA Division I student-athlete, and All-Big 12 performer. 🏀 **Bob Dille (Class of 1935)** – One of Chesterton’s earliest athletic legends, earning 11 varsity letters across basketball, baseball, and cross country. He later became an All-American and collegiate scoring champion at Valparaiso University, played professionally in the BAA, and went on to a Hall of Fame coaching career that included leading Fort Wayne Northrop to the 1974 Indiana State Championship. Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame inductee. 🏈 **Rich Raffin (Class of 1979)** – Legendary multi-sport athlete in football and track, Indiana Football Hall of Fame inductee, and part of a lasting Trojan family legacy. 🏈 **Rick Fulton (Class of 1980)** – All-State football player, state runner-up in shot put, collegiate and professional football standout, and Indiana Football Hall of Fame member. 🏊 **Tyler Fozkos (Class of 2010)** – Multiple-time IHSAA State Champion swimmer, state-record relay member, NCAA Division I swimmer at Florida State, and Indiana High School Swimming & Diving Hall of Fame inductee. 🏃 **Steve Kearney (Class of 1967)** – Former Trojan student-athlete, educator, and iconic cross country and track coach whose leadership and dedication influenced generations of Chesterton student-athletes. 🤼 **Jim Popp (Class of 1981)** – Chesterton Wrestling’s first-ever IHSAA State Champion and one of the foundational figures in Trojan wrestling history. 🏃 **Katey Parsons (Class of 1994)** – IHSAA State Champion in the 800 meters and one of the most accomplished distance athletes in school history. ❤️💛 **The Ray Family** – A true multi-generational Chesterton Athletics family whose influence has extended across competition, coaching, education, mentorship, and community leadership for generations of Trojans. Beginning with **John Ray (Class of 1968)**, the Ray family legacy was built through excellence across multiple sports. John earned **All-Conference honors in basketball, baseball, and football** and was awarded a **dual scholarship in football and basketball to Valparaiso University**, establishing a tradition of athletic achievement that would continue for decades. That tradition carried forward through the next generation. **Melissa Ray (Class of 1990)** was an exceptional multi-sport athlete and **four-year letter winner in both basketball and track**, earning **All-Conference honors in basketball and track** during her career. **Tim Ray (Class of 1992)** continued the family’s impact through athletics and service as a student-athlete in **basketball and soccer** before dedicating decades to Chesterton students as an educator, coach, mentor, former Head Coach of Cross Country and Track, and longtime Varsity Assistant for Boys Basketball. Following Tim, **Amanda Ray (Class of 1995)** added to the family tradition as one of Chesterton’s most decorated multi-sport athletes, earning **12 varsity letters across volleyball, basketball, and track** while achieving **All-Conference honors in all three sports**. **Annie Ray (Class of 2000)** continued the family’s athletic legacy as a basketball student-athlete at Chesterton High School. The family’s tradition of excellence continues today through the next generation as **Maggie Ray (Class of 2024)** contributed to Chesterton Volleyball and **TJ Ray (Class of 2027)** continues to represent Chesterton Basketball as one of the Trojans’ emerging leaders and contributors. Together, the Ray family represents generations of commitment, excellence, leadership, service, and Trojan pride that continue to leave a lasting impact on Chesterton Athletics.
